I just wondered what Difficulty Settings people start their new games on, if the game allows you to choose.....I'm reading more and more folk trying games like COD2 and GRAW on their hardest settings and wonder if these people are in the minority or majority :p

Be honest now.....What settings?

1/ Easy - I Want My Mommy!

2/ Normal - I'm Just An Average Joe!

3/ Hard - I'm Harder Than A Coffin Nail!

For me i'd have to say i nearly always start games on Normal.........Very rarely do i try games in hard modes.......I'd require anger management then from frustration :mad: :(
 
Hard

It used to be normal but when I had completed the game on normal, I couldn't be bothered to go back over the same ground on hard. Would rather just start off with a good challenge.
 
hard, as i rarely replay a game, so like to get the most out of it the first time i play it.

Beginning to regret it on Ghost recon though.
 
The only game i ever did on 1 was FEAR ... but that was down to the fact i wanted to enjoy the world i was in

Some games have unlocked difficulty levels .. you play on hard and unlock INSANE :D
 
Normal usually - If I have to replay a level over and over more than 3 or 4 times I just find it frustrating rather than enjoyable.

I do find though that by the end I'm usually better at the game so I'll often go back and try it on hard, as I did with COD2 and will deffo do on GRAW
 
Normal for me :) depends on game really when i get into it and used to it i try hard if it becomes impossible on hard i slip to easy. :D
 
Normal, I'm after the storyline (if any) as I don't have the time anymore to spend hours playing games.

I voted hard, however most games i get i research a bit about first so if im expecting a challenge i might choose Normal.

Generally though i love a good challenge, and being able to complete games like Ninja Gaiden on high difficulty is that much more rewarding :)

I felt like that after it took me ages to protect the VIP on the 3rd/4th mission, but now i dont mind.

Though completing a game full of enemies that can kill you in one shot is frustrating!
 
Normal. The way I see it that's usually the way the game is meant to be played the first time round. Easy and hard mode are extras to use if you find normal too hard or you just fancy a bit of an extra challenge.

the one shot has occasionally seen me nearly tearing my hair out, but i don't normally play these sort of games.

i think my troubles are more from playing too much fight night over the weekend, its making me too gung ho in GRAW like my fighter in fight night is :D
 
usually easy for me, i like to toy with the ai sometimes rather than having them constantly aiming for my head while i walk around the corner to find them ;)
 
Hard usually.

Started CoD2 straight into Vet mode and Gun on insane.

I've actually started GRAW on Normal as you need to play through on both to get the achievements anyway.
 
Hard if I've heard the game is a bit easy on normal, if it's meant to be rock hard then on Normal. COD2 is driving me nuts on Vet though so I decided to play GRAW on normal and I'm loving every minute of it.

God of War on hard was a challenge too ;)
 
I chose hard to make me feel better.. but simply lied as i always go for medium.. complete it way too easy and then regret it.. i live in a dreamworld..
