Poll: who is better

Are you mental?.

Michael Jackson, bloomin eck dude.

Oh and i find your sig boring (no idea why i feel compelled to say that, but i do).

Mental, no. I ws just wondering who is better that's all. Both styles are different but on comparing them MJ dont exactly win hands down. Hammer's dance style is much more energetic, flexible and less breaking. Like i said before, he better in some ways but not in all.

No. There is nothing MC Hammer beats MJ in except for being black.

Nothing.

Unless i am mistaken here. Look at it this way - i am confident, McHammer can pull off most of MJs move if not all but I dont see MJ doing vice versa.

Gilly

What im saying is - I am confindent Hammer can pull off MJs move if it comes to it, but i dont see MJ doing the same. Say for example, the "Typewriter move" - that's the one he went from side to side moving only his feet. I wont hesitate to bet on it that MJ CANT do that.

Gilly said:
1. How on earth would you go about proving this?
2. How on earth have you missed the fact that MJs footwork has always been better than MCs?

Christ. So is mine.

1. I honestly cant but on observation on both dance styles, Hammer has more energy involved than MJs style.

2. Only fancy foot work he can pull off is the Moonwalk and balance on his toes - well i can moonwalk backwards and sideways too and a ballerina can balance on his/her toes too.

I think its fair to say, that if it comes to who is the blackest, largest trouser wearing born again christian out of M.C Hammer and Micheal "it wasnt me" Jackson.

Then MC Hammer is the Captain you want, thats it, the guy with the spangly oversize comedy trousers and the one platinum disc over his fire place.

But if its who is "once the biggest pop genius in the world", once the guy who surely defined the term "got some moves", writer of the biggest selling album of all time but who now is the worlds most famous not at all a child molesting pervert cleared of all charges by 12 good men and true.

Then Micheal Jackson is the Captain you want, thats it, the guy with the Wheelbarrow full of platinum discs, and the head full of memories of what it was like to be famous for something other than being completly cleared of all charges and then running off to dubai.

All i can say is - Thanks for nothing at all  The thread is about who is a better dancer not what you are yapping about.

Is it me or does this MC Hammer video have "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" written all over it? .

That's the late 80s style crossing into the early 90s - the use of vibrant colours, casual dressing style (almost like a costume) and funny loking hairstyle.

Looks like MJ is the clear winner so far :D

Just becuase Hammer's fan are still sleeping. Seriouosly, i dont know why this hasnt been change into a vote-poll system yet.

Possibly because barely anyone is insane enough to think McHammer dances better than MJ.

I dont know why MJ voters are failing to see what im saying. MJ dance style is not as energetic as that of Hammer so in theory hammer should be able to do MJ move easily.

You dont think MJ's performances are as energetic as Hammers??!!??

Have you even seen him perform?

The only reason why Hammer was energetic was because he was off his face on concaine !

In Honesty, i havent see them live on stage but i have seen DvD of live performances. I still think Hammer is much more energetic. Look at the Videos in the opening post, Hammer's had more energy and rhythm to his move than MJ.

I don't want to go too far off-topic as Gilly has already asked but there is something electric watching Elvis at the top of his game. I used to like MJ when I was younger, I was a big fan in my teenage years but now I think Elvis had so much talent in him when he was alive it's unreal. Gilly and Elrazur, have you seen much footage of Elvis? He wasn't just about hip thrusts and lip curls, there is so much more, I love watching him interact with the crowd and some of his adlibbing moves he starts doing are so good too.

Back to Jackson/Hammer from now though :)

I have seen some of it n boy, i wasnt impressed. I have seen better. In terms of dance/entertainment, Elvis is like Vaniila Ice - Good but kinda gimmicky and definitely not the best.
