In a connected world where i've always got some sort of screen within reaching distance, be it a tv or a phone or a monitor at home or work, I like having no tv in the bedroom. This year is the first time I've had a tv in my bedroom since i was a teenager (after giving in to SWMBO) and to be honest i just don't use it. The Mrs might netflix and chill up there occasionally but more often than not if she's going to do that she'll be laying on the sofa in the living room instead, so she doesn't use it much either.

Need a vote option for "There's a TV in my bedroom and I don't watch it"

I have an old TV in my bedroom but I never watch it. Only watch TV in living room or on PC in study room (spare bedroom).

we have one in the bedroom but mainly watch bbc news in the morning when getting ready for work, rarely watch it in the evening though

Need an option for me which is 1 TV in flat, sometimes take it into bedroom to watch TV. I agree it is comfortable to watch in bed and certainly warm come winter time.

I never had a telly in the bedroom at my old place and rarely had the telly on, indeed I'd clean the screen for when the gf came over :)

Now we live together the TV is always on at bedtime, and during the day.

I feel soiled :(

I like to drift off to Lord of the Rings, Porridge and Only Fools and Horses.
I watch porridge and only fools before bed too. I also find it easy to drift off to snooker. Quiet, gentle clack of the balls and soft commentators voice make me snoozy quickly.

my kids are at the great age where they bring friends round often so it is easier for me to hide in my room watching tv or reading and leave my beautiful bride to deal with the kids i am truly a NO1 husband/father she loves lots of kids in the house i like peace and quiet everyone wins.

I think I'm probably odd in that I hate looking at a screen in the morning. It makes my eyes feel dry etc :p Sometimes I get up on the weekend and put Saturday Kitchen or something on before I've had a cup of tea and immediately feel bad about it. Trying to force myself to listen to the radio instead, as otherwise we just sit there all morning and get nothing done!

I have a 50" plasma at the end of my bed,got multiroom with virgin but just cancelled it as the tv probably gets used 3 to 4 hours a month.

When I say "watch" I mean it's on and only stop to watch it if something interesting is on. :) Though lately gf starting putting on crap TV programs :( instead of news so I just get ready and go to work earlier.

Lol! Snooker will make you drift off at any point in the day.

About 15-20 years ago, channel5 had the rights to show baseball on Sunday and Wednesday nights. That was bloody awesome for knocking you out no matter how wide awake you were. :p
