Last time I checked Intel was ahead of AMD for gaming, maybe not by a lot and maybe that will change with zen 3 and I also enjoying overclocking which is something I've missed with AMD.So you're going to sacrifice gaming performance by getting a slower Intel CPU just to get your revenge on AMD. Makes sense.
I'm not about to sell my AM4 board to buy another AM4 board when my current board was marketed to work with zen3. I'll either stick with what I have till AM5 and put the £500 which was earmarked for the 4900x into getting a 3080ti instead of a 3080, grab an LGA1200 or get the 4900x if AMD changes their mind with regards to support once they see the sales figures of zen 3.
