I only got the 2500K as a stop-gap.

I am hoping that with improved IPC, higher clocks and hyperthreading, I will be able to get the chip closer to 5.5GHz, which will mean the CPU should be at least 50% faster in many situations.

Of course, my hopes could very well be smashed into pulp when I get one, but hey ho

In fairness I can bet the majority of people buying one will already have a system powerful enough to cope with the tasks they use it for.
