Poly bushes

I replaced all the suspension (literally all of it inc lower arms, top mounts etc) on my Puma and fitted Polybushes but kept the rear beam std fit and lower arms FRP as people said this is best compromise for track/road use. I had new ford dampers and Eibach springs (a dealer option)

The ride is harsh, you wouldn't want to do long journeys in it and speed bumps are a pain (literally) I spend most time when driving avoiding every pot hole, bump or even stone in the road to preserve my back and teeth however point down a B road and the improvement is well worth it ;)

I wouldnt want the rear beam polybushed for normal roads in all honesty and there are days when i wish it had a more compliant ride - getting in the C3 is like a rolls royce in comparison ;)

Having said all that a std Puma has a fairly harsh ride to begin with on std bushes so the difference may not be as much on a softer car in the first place - i still love the car but i only drive 11 miles to work and use the other car for any longer trips!!!

They don't list much for the Soarer but can usually do anything you need:

Supra stuff is handily interchangeable which means I have FAR more choice :).

Wheels and Tyres, fitting exhaust + decat, Front and Rear bottom and top wishbone bush replacement, steering rack bush, front and rear anti roll bar bushes, rear pads, discs and handbrake shoes and alignment, All to do before Brads Hatch on the 3rd of Dec. It's going to be a busy (and expensive) month! Almost wish I hadn't talked myself into keeping it!

Bush hardness is measured in "Shore hardness" usually on cars a "70 shore" is like very very hard rubber and something like a "90 shore" is like nylon. Bushes that move in one plane- like arb can be very hard, but bushes that move in 2 or more planes- wishbone bushes, need to be more compliant. One thing though, the harder the bush the more NVH transmitted into the car, especially axle mounts.
