hi all ive been having some problems with vista and games

i have a N7600GS upgraded form a 6600GT (wich gave the same error)
3.2ghz P4
2gb of ram
and vista
i have the latest nvidia drivers 163.67


sorry for the small images photobucket is in a strop

at first i thought is was to do with the ram on the aging 6600GT but seeing as the 7600GS has the exact same problem has made me think otherwise

please help as this is a real pain

Reinstall drivers?

i tryed that previously but today i downloaded driver sweeper from guru 3D will try that and report back

still no joy im afraid i used the guru3d sweeper and reinstalled 163.67 even the nvidia eye in the nvidia control panel has the same graphical issues
3d mark 06 wich got shipped with my new card is pretymuch un viewable as the same errors occur on all the tests i wish i still had an xp machine

What motherboard have you got? Sure I remember reading a while ago about issues with certain chipsets, Vista and nvidia cards.

the motherboard is an ABIT SG-80

SIS 661FX chipset is probably the issue here, see if there are some new drivers for it.

humph i can only see xp drivers for the 661FX

thanks guys i installed the chipset drivers for xp from the abit website and it worked

no more weird polygons or anything i had to reinstall the nvidia drivers after tho but its great now thanks allot

im a happy chappy now
