Hi guys, can anyone shed some light as to why I am getting poor frame rate after upgrading my graphics card and motherboard. Here is my pc...
AMD FX6100 3.3ghz
Gigabyte 970A-DS3 (rev3.0)
8gb DDR3 memory 1333mhz
Sapphire R9 280X VaporX
120gb OCZ SSD (windows 7 ult,64bit), 1TB seagate HDD
I play most games on ultra settings, so at first i thought it was down to having the settings too high (which i thought was strange as the 280x is meant to handle anything) so i lowered the graphics...no, im still getting poor frame rate when the graphics are lowered to high and even medium! The Gigabyte motherboard is also new so im wondering if it could be bottlenecking the 280x? Or is the memory not fast enough? Or is it the cpu that is now not up to scratch with the 280x? Also, the card seems fine in my friends pc!
The whole thing is ****in me off, after buying a better card and motherboard i expected it to be faster, not slower!
