Unfortunately not the first link, as the program they recommend doesn't want to work for me. :(

In the second link there is a .pdf file and I did find that very useful indeed. :D Just remember to backup anything you change, should it have adverse affects, and don't change too many things in one go, and you should be fine . :)

As an FSX user and new owner of an q6600 and 9800GTX rig iwould be interested to hear how you are getting on with the sim now

Just got this and to be honest im fairly disapointed, the graphics look very ordinary and performance is poor (SP2). Maybe i need to tinker a little.
 
I remember running this game on my 7800GTX, Win XP, Core 2 Duo @ 2.66ghz and 2gb memory and had all settings high on DX 9 and got about 5 fps.

So it must be a hardware bug causing the game not to utilizie what you own!!!!

a new patch will fix it for you soon no doubt.
