Poor GTA V performance with gtx 970

I'm not sure that the amount of ram that GTAV.exe is relevant at all.

My ram tops out around 6GB usage (everything) when playing GTAV at 1440p with MSAA.

In answer to the OP: as others have said GTA will not run very well with 4 threads and 4gb of ram.

Surely the amount of ram that gtav.exe uses is the most relevant thing? As that is the amount of ram gta is using?

How could it not be?

so how is it using only the 3.2gb of memory someone claims when I had 8gb+2gb page file and windows wanted to close gtav because I had no memory?

I've got a 6gb graphics card so it's not like I'm running out of gpu memory and it's using shared memory instead

It's not like my windows is full of bloat, I keep a neat tidy os

If gtav used 4gb or less then I have more than that free anyway then another 1700mb in stand bye.
as it says at the top of my image 6025mb available so gtav is wanting atleast that +2gb more *my pagefile size*
I had only just launched gtav and played for a few minutes testing out my new 980ti so even if the game had a memory leak then it wouldn't have had enough time to do anything.
This was single player btw with pretty much every setting maxed out.
