Hello
Ive been having this ongoing problem for as long as i can remember as well as previous isp's, i seem to get an unsually high number of CRC errors, which i think is the result of having intermittent connection problems, and playing games online i get unusual lag spikes and stutters.
Ive tried to investigate where the problem might be on my line, ive physically detached the wires linking to all the phonelines in the house and even used different routers, ive also tried changing the MTU value then back to 1500.
My snr is usually very low, during the morning and afternoon, does it rarely go over 9.0db, during the evening however it drops sometimes to as low as 4db.
Im currently using a Netgear DG834GT, (having used a DG834, and Speedtouch 585 before)
Ive attached a picture of DMT tool screenshot to illustrate my connection stats which i took a few minutes ago notice the uptime to the errors.
Also where the line is coming in (the black box, which looks a bit suspect and very old) which feeds into a bt socket (next to it) which then feeds off to the adsl line upstairs, as far as i know the wiring is connected so the upstairs adsl box is the master and all other phone lines are filtered off this.
What do you think i should do to improve line quality, maybe getting a bt engineer to inspect my line ?
Ive also emailed this to aquiss.
