Poor teg

I havent driven mine since way before Xmas, new battery came today and new tyres on tomorrow then back into VTEC land :D

Will be interested to see how the headlight cleanup works out :)

Phate - Get one then. Better than some silly seat that shares a name with a chavy island and cheaper too.

Jonny - yours a lap import? What year/spec etc?

Scott - Why did you sell yours anyway? Not turbo rally **** enough? I remember when you imported yours, was mega cheap!

I wish I had a unit. I'm itching to attack my car with a grinder.

There's some rust that needs... grinding.

Bring on the warm weather.

Oh, and good work too :)

Mines a silver 96 JDM SiR-G, Wilwood brakes and suspension stuff with some light engine work. S2000 instrument panel and Type R red Recaros. Had is 3.5 years now.

agw - yeah its handy! getting a set of ramps really soon (which would have made some of this much easier!)

Jonny - Got any pics? Especially of the S2000 installed panel.

Kept mine for a month...

Nice car, touring car style... but i missed the turbo fun (or two) :)

I wish i kept it for summer though... not great in the winter the old tegs :)

Whats the insurance like on these? I keep seeing peoples on here and I keep drooling, although I don't really know the first thing so i wouldn't know what to look for. Gotta get a new car soon though, a vRS Octavia is looking probable.

Uk is group 17 (I think) and is not bad so long as you are 21 or above. Import is Gp20 and is a little steep, but not too bad, especially if you go with import friendly insurers.

Depends what your after, the teg is raw and very involving. The VRS is a much more detatched, lazy mans turbo machine. If you want handling and sheer fun the teg will be for you. If you want to kill 4 members of your family in one go the VRS is more down your street

Great work stripping the car, but surely, with all the effort you're going through, it'd be better to spend £100 on welding and have a proper job done? If I came to buy a car, and saw filler etc, I'd run a mile...

Not planning on selling the car for a long time. Will probably cover it up somehow when that day comes along. So long as the car isn't slowly dissolving, I'm happy :)
