Anyone else get stuck with one?

I've gota have 1.35v in bios going through mine to not have it constantly BSOD at 4.5ghz with an 0x000000124 error.

Compare that to people with the same CPU getting a steady 4.6ghz using only 1.3v :(

Why not clock it at 4 - 4.2 Ghz and enjoy your new chip?
I am sure that will be better for longevity anyway.

I'm on the P8P67, had some right grief with it upto now. It went through a phase of not wanting to boot past the BIOS logo screen and just left me with a flashing cursor, it corrected itself though

I'm probably going to buy a second 2500k and see if it clocks any better, then DSR the worse clocker out of the two. Abusing the DSR system though!

Only plus side to the whole situation is that i've got my 9-9-9-28 1.6v Geil ram running at 9-9-8-24 at 1.52v

You can get that ram down to 1.48 volts at those timings.

And based on experience i'd DSR the board

so what you clean off the paste and still send it back unused ? lol i guess no one looks close enough at the chip?

What experience have you had with the board? It seems to have sorted itself out now, i did have a few issues initially though!

Well you've had issues, and there's a thread with folks having issues on here, and many similar threads on similar forums, and they're all talking about Asus boards.
