Pop Email Checking Tool

Does anyone know of a free tool that will sit in my system tray and check multiple pop email accounts, such as gmail and my isp's pop servers? Can anyone recommend any tried and tested software that fits the bill? Thanks

Does thunderbird go to the tray? never used it but heard good things about it.


There is a program i used to use and i cannot remember what it is. ill have a think.


also you considerd outlook? that can be set to sit in the system tray

Thanks allllec, its to be used on my machine in work where the gmail ports are blocked so outlook is a no go. Gmail notifier works though.

Thunderbird indeed has a MinimiseToTray extension.

Not sure if this is what your after but you know most POP emails allow you to TELNET onto them.

Might lead you down another path that may help?
