Hi All,

Looking to build a 4x2TB RAID-Z array in my soon-to-be-delivered HP Microserver.

I'm wary of just ordering four of the same model drive from one retailer, as if I get a job lot of four from the same batch then any batch issues will somewhat directly affect me...

...so what would you advise? Is it wise to mix makes/models (I could quite easily get a Samsung, Hitachi, Western Digital & Seagate), or would I be wiser to try and find four retailers selling the exact same model drive & make four separate purchases?

Thanks for any advice!

Meh, ordered four Samsung Ecogreen 2TB HD204UI. Total shipped was £227.95, thanks OCUK!

... I'll soon purchase three more & enclosures, to allow me to make a full backup offsite :) I reckon that'll do it :)
