Hey

I use Splashtop streamer to access my desktop on my iPad. Used it for months and never had problems connecting. Though in the last week or so (possibly since I installed VMWare Workstation I have had problems.

I can still get access to another computer in the house (which shouldn't even have any port forwarding set for it)
But on my Splashtop status it says "Your 6783 port is not reachable" Sometimes though it will have the ports open, and then later in the day it won't... Restarted my rotuer as well.
I also need 6784 + 6784 open..

Do D-Link offer any monitoring / logging software with their routers? I know when I've had similar issues with my Draytek, I've fired up Syslog (from the Draytek site) and it shows what traffic is going where and from what PC. If it's blocked by the Router, it shows that as well, so it makes diagnosing things really easy.

Perhaps try removing the rule, reloading default settings, then re-apply the rule and give the router another reboot. Can't really see why it would work sometimes and then not at all. Strange.

I know also there are various websites that will check to see if certain ports are open and visible. Maybes worth doing that as well.

Hope that helps.

I'll have a look at the router settings next week, going away next week so. I've uninstalled VMware though because I'm sure it was fine before installing that..

Thanks for reply :)
