I'm using uTorrent to download Windows 8 Consumer Previous ISO but it says:

Bandwidth Results:
Upload: 3.9 Mbit/s and Download 7.1 Mbit/s
I'm on a 50mb connection so would like to get as close to 20 - 30 mb download speed.

My Network says:
Results: Port is not open

I don't know how to open the port

I'm using a Virgin Media SuperHub (WiFi Connection) so can anyone advise how to 1) Get the fastest speed possible and 2) how to open the port?

Thanks

OK, I've managed to port forward, but I need to know what Download and Upload speed to set.

Just ran a Speed test and got:
Download - 45959 kbps
Upload - 4630 kbps

I need to set the D/load and U/load speed in kB/s so what would give me the quickest download speed?

Thanks

Iirc virgin throttle p2p. Best you can do is ensure upnp/nat-pmp, random port (if you want), force encryption/disable incoming legacy connections. You'll only establish encrypted connections then, meaning if you're still throttled it's port based or dpi (unlikely).

That's assuming the limit isn't just the swarm of course, in which case allowing as many unencrypted connections would be better.

P.s. utorrent has a decent speed test/auto setup.
