Kafflano Classic.

Not cheap, but allows you to use beans. Grinder, pouring kettle, filter and cup all in one. Mine's been used in a number of countries now and it works great. I also use a Kalita Wave 185 paper filter in it, just allows me to grind finer for my preference. 17g coffee to 280g of water.

My method:
1) Start heating water
2) Put filter on cup and insert Kalita filter
3) Screw grinder into the pouring kettle
4) Weigh 18g coffee into the grinder and grind *it's on the 2nd notch from finest setting*
5) Once water has boiled, rinse through the filter. Also heats the cup. Discard this water after about 30s.
6) While you're waiting, pour the ground coffee into the filter and give the pouring kettle a quick rinse.
7) Pour 35g of water onto the coffee and allow it to bloom.
8) After about 30s, slowly add the remaining 245g of water. Should take 2:30 to 3:00.

Yes, I'm a geek... :D

Kafflano Classic.
Thanks for this post, that looks like an amazing product! I'd considered an Aeropress but it just seemed a little impractical for my needs, an all in one or almost system like Flibster suggested will be ideal

Now to convince my girlfriend to buy one for my birthday! :D

That Cafflano Klassic looks awesome. I might have to get one for the next time I'm on a cycle tour.

I was about to recommend an aeropress too but I agree with Flibster if your budget allows :)
