Portable Drive Question / Spec me

Am after getting a portable drive for us ein work adn was after one that doe snot require and external power supply (ie runs straight off USB power).

As it has beena while since i last looked at these things, am sure i am a wee bit behind the curve nowas to what is best to get.

Can someone hlep me out and let me know what would be the best drive to get in terms of capacity and quality?

something 2.5", WD passport drives are supposed to be good.

Alternatively, you can "make your own". I bought an icybox 2.5" caddy and a WD 2.5" Blue 500GB HDD and they have been happily partnered for about 6 months now. Mainly did it this way to get esata capability aswell as usb though.
