I’m working in a hot desk environment a fair bit now, and would’ve quite useful if I could have a second screen to use with my MBA.

Seems to be loads of these portable monitors around, anyone used any? Ideally same dimensions as 15” MBA for ease of carrying.

USB-C input and hub a plus….plus HDMI for using at home.

I have two, they are great, a 14" 1080p one and a 16" 1600p one to match my laptop for dual screening on travels. both of mine have touch, the adds to cost and reduces the number available but makes it use ful for connection to another machine giving me an interface such that I don''t need to switch KVM, I typically have my phone on this in DEx mode.

Not sure how well stuff like this works on a Mac but as I have used mine on a Pi, phone, Linux etc I don't image it'd be a problem, perhaps the touch side might be problematic though mine comes up as Apple Magic, something or other in windows so perhaps it is fine :D

My bigger one has full size HDMI, this is much more convenient than mini HDMI that my 1080p one comes with as you always have the right cable, obviously downside is it is a chunkier screen with a bulge at the bottom, not as nice at the flat tablet style 14" one.

Both do pass though power but not a lot of wattage fine to keep phones powered rather than draining the phone battery.

I'd post a link but they are random Chinese brands that don't seem to exist anymore.

Thanks….these UPERFECT ones seem to be around a lot, and cheap refurbs on eBay. Can’t really go too wrong at the price I guess, although Amazon returns are easier…hmm

They look decent especially the more expensive mini LED, they do seem to have mini HDMI, typically there is an adaptor in the box so not too much of an issue, great way to get a nice second screen you can travel with.
