Posessions that are important to you

Just wondering what posessions are important to you. I've been sitting here having a whisky and listening to music on the PC browsing YouTube and thinking about it. Obviously apart from my family these things would mean a lot to me if I lost them:

A long heavy brown leather coat that I've had for about 6 years - I just adore this coat even though it probably looks a little old fashioned now. It's warm, I love the look of it and it reminds me of my late father because he had something similar back in the 70's. One day my son will have it unless it has fallen to pieces :)

My Senheisser HD595 headphones which I sit and listen to music on frequently. As I've got older I've become more and more keen on good quality audio and while I'm sure there are better headphones than these I find them superb.

My phone and tablet. While I'm not attached to the devices themselves, one of them will always be with me and I watch or use them constantly for email, messaging, videos, reading, satnav, etc, etc. It's a whole world in a small package.

A small spirit glass made in Germany in the 1970's. My parents used to visit friends in Germany frequently in the 70's as an exchange with the German and UK police forces. One year they brought back four identical spirit glasses with each of our names engraved on - my father mother, brother and me, which their friends had made as a gift. Being about 5yrs old I was too young to appreciate it at the time but now it means a lot to me and whenever I drink spirits at home I use this glass.

My Corrado
. While I may consider selling it soon it reminds me of my great times in the 90's and I adore the way it's pretty unique on the road now.

So what are your precious items that you'd hate to be without?

My Fender Jagstang, the guitar designed by Kurt Cobain. He didn't even use his that much. I think the first batch were released in 1995 and then re-released in 2004 when I bought one. I've used it quite a bit but it's currently under my bed! They are worth a decent amount of money but it's just something I'd never sell. Unlike most signature guitars, it is actually a design rather than just a stratocaster with custom pickups etc. If my daughter was to take up the guitar when she's older, I might pass it on to her.

This has made me somewhat depressed, thinking back, nothing at all seems important to me.

I can't remember anything that's happened in my life that means a lot to me.

Don't think I have anything that is irreplaceable. I'd be upset if I lost my family but life wouldn't be any different without them.

Bahhh.

my 2 watches - gift for getting my degree and one from high school (wasn't a cheap plastic/digital one lol)
my 2oz (I think, might be more) gold necklace - 18th birthday gift - as my dad says, if you have gold jewellery you'll always be able to get money, not that I intend to sell it or anything.
I don't think I'd lose sleep over them if I lost them due to something like a fire though.

Other than that I'm not 'that' worried although if there was a fire I'd try and grab my phone and wallet, maybe a coat and some trousers/top etc lol I'd also be a bit annoyed if I lost all my media collection, not due to sentimentality, just due to the fact it would take ages to do again lol

Having said that I am intending to digitise all the family photo's and backup online 'just in case'

My 1978 American Fender Stratocaster that my wife bought me in 1979 as an engagement present.
I haven't played it on stage for 13 years because I have other guitars I prefer but I'll never part with it.

Don't have anything of particular sentimental value, so just everything I have that costs real money - PC setup (~£3k), Laptop (~£1.5k), DLSR (~£1.5k), Archery gear (~£1k) etc etc so as long as insurance companies pay out, it's only digitally saved stuff I would loose, and I back up whatever I can, so that would be less of a loss too.

Saying that, I'm a bit of a hoarder, as I don't like to throw anything away in case I "may need it in the future" so I would be rather annoyed, but in general, there's nothing I've got that can't be re-bought.

I've got quite a few, but if I had to pick one I'd say my noise cancelling headphones. They have really helped me sleep as I am a light sleeper find it difficult to relax at night.

My Papa's St Christopher, my Gran gave it to me when he died. Looking at and wearing it always reminds me of the great times we had together.

Thames path challenge sports top thing, first challenge I've ever done.

A painting a friend painted for me out of the blue. An angle surrounded by fire :)

I need to find out how to clean oil paintings on canvas though. Its got dusty and seems to have stuck slightly and wont just brush off.
