Poss problem with ram, how do I check?

Like the title, I'm currently running:-

-AMD64 X2 6000+
-Vista 64
-2x1Gb Corsair XMS2 6400 RAM

I'm sure that my systems isnt running like it should be, especially within games, and I want to check if the memory is causing the issue.

What do I need to do check the health of my RAM, Im not even sure if its running the right timings, Its been a very long time since I had to do this type of stuff.

Resource monitor within Vista keeps showing lots of 'Hard Faults' is this to be expected? or a sign that my memory is up the swanny?

Burn the MemTest86+ ISO to a CD and boot from it.

And Vista showing hard faults seems to be pretty normal.

Memtest doesnt seem to want to run, any guesses as to what I might be failing at?
What part of that file do I need to burn to the CD?

The zip file should extract into a .iso file. Burn that to a CD using ImgBurn or similar.
