Possible 4870HD issue

Ive noticed over the past two months that maybe once every 2 weeks my screen will go black for a split second and then back to normal, ive checked device manager and reseated my card but still does it, its a mild nuissance now but am concerned it may escalate....

My card is less than six months old, alternativley could it be my monitor, its almost 6 years old and in dire need of replacing! No issues as such just its out of date!

what drivers you using or have you updated the drivers to 9.12 ?

Have the most upto date drivers from the website...

i heard people been having problems on the 9.11 but for 9.12 i've not heard a thing, you can roll back to a earlier driver version when everything was fine. Or try on another monitor or if you got a dvi connection on your television to test with.

Could be your monitor on it's way out, mine did this before it died

Id say monitor problem, as i used to get it a few years ago now on an old one (that one died so got a new one, and it never happened again).

Will prob be a monitor problem, my FP241W used to do that, flicker black every week or so.
