Hi people I have finally got enough spare ££ to buy a much needed pc.
I have been lumbered with a slow pc for years trying to play games on low spec.

I already have a cooler master case.

Now it's my chance to have a much better system.

My questions are am I pretty much getting the best for my money?
Will the PSU have enough watts?
And as the hdd's and drives are OEM will I have to buy 4x sata leads or 2x if two already come with the mobo?

Thanks in advance guys and look forward to your replies.

To be honest, as things stand today I would spend the extra £100 or so for an I7 based system or wait until I5 is released by intel, and then see where the dust settles. I've given you an I7 build below, AMD is another option as I believe AM3 ill be around for a while, however I don't know much about AMD based systems so I'm sure someone else will provide an AMD build

Socket 1366 will be around for a while but the 920 is being discontinued in september to create a pricing point for the I5

It will take good few months before I5 is a viable platform as S1156 is going to be replaced after a short time by S1156B from what I've heard

Why the two 250Gb hard drives, you wanting Raid 1 or something?

Why buy a bundled system when you can easily build it yourself as on those bundled systems you have to install the heatsink yourself anyway.

If you bought the components individually the only other thing you have to do is insert you cpu into its socket yourself which is a 10 second job. Then you can Overclock it yourself. *Tip* Youtube and the Forums here are your friend's ;).

Take a look at these links:

Comes to just over £300 and the board is a lot better than that gigabyte one. This would save £25 but i spose if OcUK are going to OC it for you and get it stable the extra £25 is probs worth it...it saves the hassle of getting the system stable yourself.

Secondly had the same psu and it failed to boot a q6600 stock clock, 1 hdd and a gtx 285 which is equivilant to 4890. A deffinate improvement on the psu is a must.

Give this a look at:

Its Fugly but whos gunna see your psu ;) however is a lot more powerful and PC Power & Cooling's psu's are top notch, their parent companies OCZ Psu's are pretty cheap and no-where the same quality.

Also EDIT: why two DVD drives :S the Pioneer is a very good drive it reads and writes. I have 1 it is quiet and wake up time is very good.

I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert, but something like this seems good:

I feel slightly more confused, Basicly wanted to go with the bundle because it was pre overclocked and stable.

Comes to £300 but you forgot the CPU fan.

As for 2 hdd's I have a lot of stuff and I like to backup stuff. And the 2 drives was because I needed to fill in a slot on my case.
