Hello overclockers,
I have had a problem for about 11 months or so now and I always thought it was just some software glitch but it seems I could be incorrect.
so anyway let me get to the point, I seem to experience stutters in my system when I tend to tab in and out of games and sometimes when I load firefox/chrome and on a very rare occasion it would blue screen while I was searching for a server in Call of Duty.
my spec is as followed:
CPU: intel i7 2600k overclocked to 4.6ghz
MB: Gigabyte z68x-UD5-B3
RAM: Kingston hyperx genesis 8GB 1600mhz
GPU: Asus Nvidia 460GTX 1GB
HHD/SSD: Crucial M4 128GB + Seagate baracuda 1TB
PSU: Corsair CX600
CPU cooler: Corsair H50
Can't seem to pin point the problem from my end due to a lack of experience with fault finding in current systems.
I also tried to run prime95 to stress test my system, it would be fine for about the first 5 minutes or so then it would blue screen and alocate that there is a problem with the 2nd core, so I re-tried running prime95 and this time keeping track of tempreature levels of the CPU during the test I noticed that it would reach as high as 80 degrees and cut out, so my main assumption is that my current cooler is probably not up to the job at keeping my cpu cool at full load or am I wrong?
I appreciate you reading my post and look forward to a response possibly with some answers
