Hi
I came back to my PC last night to a black screen with an error of Windows 7 will not boot; Status 0x000000e; Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible
Please insert windows disk etc to do repair....
I have run the windows cd and I cant find the drive when I navigate thought the recovery part. I have tried bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd in the command promt in recovery mode and this is only finding an old version of windows which I have left on an old drive.
I have checked in BIOS to see if it picks the drive up which it is not. I have checked all cables on the SSD changed them around with other SATA cables still no joy.I have unplugged all other hard drives and reset CMOS. My PC has been overclocked this is now running on defaults settings. I have tried changing the SATA mode selection from IDE to AHCI and back no joy.
Dead SSD?
