Hey guys,

I have any ongoing missing driver issue in Device Manger, as per pic…

I’ve noticed that the device in question is located in the same place as my graphics, PCI 1.

I’m using a Sapphire 2900XT, can anyone confirm for me if there is a link between my card and the missing driver and how I’d best resolve it :)

I’m using the 7.8 cats which I should update I suppose? I downloaded them straight off the web – I didn’t touch the drivers CD that came with the card.

Any ideas?

I had this the other day but with a usb device. I got the pci id from either under "details" or "resources" and searched for it in the registry which then told me what the device was.
 
Hmm, so did you have to write that whole id number down?

And how do you search for it in the registry :(

Hi,

Did you install the full 2900 catalyst package or just the video driver?

The 2900 has a couple of other devices onboard, including 5.1 Audio that aren't covered by just the display driver. Should be fine if you do the install from the supplied CD and then update the driver.

Thats great guys - that driver fixed the missing PCI Device up a treat ;)

Thing is, now I've got no sound :(

I'm using a X-Fi...

Any ideas?
