Possible Explosion in Derby

Just heard a (possibly) massive explosion. Shook houses and offices in Spondon. no effect here in Chad but very loud. People on Facebook talking about it. No idea what it was yet though. Looks like it came from Spondon way, rolls royce there and courtaulds down that way.
 
Apparently confirmed as a sonic boom:

"A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson later confirmed: "The recent loud bang heard over Derbyshire was as a result of a RAF jet passing over the county causing a sonic boom.""
 
Wonder where the jet was from as I didn't hear one take off from around here, and we're usually the rapid reaction force. Maybe my music is too loud :p
 
Back in uni I had a friend whos day has a place in the middle of nowhere in Devon, right under the path of the Concord's LHR to JFK route and there would be a sonic boom regularly as it was the point where it picked up enough speed.
 
It was a proper window rattler.

Apparently its not good form to tell everyone it was accident on raynesway :)
