Im not 100% if its ISRT causing my problem but my pc seems to sometimes lag badly to the point where it just locks up completely for 5-10 secs or so which doesnt sound like much but feels like an age when your actually doing something.

I'm posititve its only when using Intel Smart Response Technology or SSD caching that I get the lagging, when Ive had windows installed on either the hdd or the ssd seperately its been totally fine

Tried clean installs, updated all drivers used the most recent drivers of intels site for the chipset and ISRT.

Im using an Asus P8Z68-V Motherboard with bios 0902, a 2tb Hitatchi Deskstar HDS723020BLA642 and a 64gb Crucial M4 with 0309 firmware.

The weird thing is this combo worked fine in my asrock z68m ht itx board...

Any suggestions?

I was seeing this recently on my similar setup. Applied the LPM reg fix (search the Crucial forum for LPM) and not seen any pauses since (though was only seeing it for a short period of time so cannot be certain this was the solution).

I did read something about that on someones realssd setup wasnt sure it applied to m4's but will take a look thanks, mine doesnt do it that much tbh but is irritating when it does, just seems odd i never noticed it on my other z68 setup

oooh, just read that hotswapping should be disabled in bios, I had it enabled, ( ithink on my old vertex 3 it was recommended?) will see if it improves things
