Hi all,

Hope you're all enjoying the fantastic summer weather!

Last year, I purchased a system (see spoiler) which I didn't think I would want to upgrade. I still do not see the need to change anything however I've been looking into purchasing another 770. The one I currently have is the MSI one. I've also been looking into buying another monitor, either same as the one I currently have or the IPS version.

Having thought about this for some time, I decided to ask the community for advice.

My questions are;

1 - If I was to purchase another 770, would I 'NEED' to buy the 2GB version or would the 4GB version also 'work' in terms of having two graphics cards in my computer?

2 - If another graphics card is purchased, what sort of power supply would I be looking to get in order to support the power consumption of the two cards?

3 - Regards the monitor, what is the significant difference between IPS and the standard LED-Backlit LCD Display and which do you recommend?

4 - Another purchase point for me would be getting a closed loop CPU cooler. Would anyone be able to recommend a decent one?

I do not have a set budget so feel free to suggest what you believe is best for it's value in terms of 'speccing' hardware.

Thanks!

You can get a 4GB one, but im pretty sure the system will only see it as 2GB (or only let it use 2GB) due to the other card (being a bottleneck of sorts)..

I think a 2GB one would be fine, VRAM limits don't limit you too much...

You'd be looking around 750W - 850W...

The Superflower Leadex Series is a great choice.

Really upgrading to an IPS is a bit of a waste. You will get better colour quality but overall the image will be the same. Id suggest you look at a 144hz monitor or a 1440p one.. (144hz =£200ish, 1440p = £350ish)

Yeah, the Antec 1220 is a very good price. :)

Thanks a lot for the reply! Greatly appreciated, as always. :D Any recommendations for the brand of a 144Hz monitor?

Indeed :D Once again, thank you very much! You've helped me a great deal.
