Sounds like he has botched the gfx card with his "surgery" and trying to get you to say something was wrong with the card before. Like everyone said ask him for pictures and hold your ground.

Err... he modded the cooler? Tell him to get stuffed, he modded the ******* cooler (which would mean taking it off) and probably damaged something!

If it was faulty before hand then mention it then, so if need be you can return it in the same condition you got it in.

As the guy tested his PSU is capable of running *** card, remember getting my shiney new ATI 850XT PE rush home boot works fine load 3d mode crash within 15 seconds no matter what soons i tried to play a game it crashed, reseting *** PC.

Was fine in 2d mode would sit at the desktop for what i tested was 6 hours np, then load Bf2 bam drop out and crash..

The crappy 600watt PSU id brought from the computer fair for about 30 quid wasnt supplying enough juice on the 12volt rail it was dropping down into 10 and 11 volts on load no wounder it crashed..

Moral of the story i brought a propwe ANTEC truepower 550 watt psu and all was good.
