Hi all, I have a DFI LANPARTY UT NF4 SLI-DR motherboard with NVIDIA onboard RAID and SILICON ONBOARD RAID, On the SIlicon Raid i have 2 300gb drives using RAID 0 and 2 74gb Raptors on RAID 0 (boot drive), On the NVIDIA RAID i have 4 200gb drives (3 IDE and 1 SATA) that are Setup as a RAID 5, Now i also have one of those XFX revo 64 cards with 5 200gb hdd's running in RAID 3.

The problem i am getting is that when i enable the RAID 5 on the NVIDIA RAID for some reason my Revo card will not work, As soon as i turn of the RAID 5 and it is working again.

Any idea's?

o.k. now i have most f it working, It seems that the NVRAID is conflicting with my XFX REvo RAID 3 card as when i enable RAID on the onboard NVRAID controller the computer will not see the XFX RAID 3 card at all (not in its bios or windows) but as soon as i turn off NVRAID and just keep the drives as seperates it all works fine.

I have no idea why this is happening, Do you think it is due to both XFX and NVIDIA using similar RAID controllers?

Any idea's

The XFX card uses a wierd form of driverless emulation so I'm wondering if it's something really bizarre like an IRQ conflict. Have you tried to see if the same thing happens with the XFX card in a different slot?
