I have a Keysonic wireless keyboard with built-in trackpad thingy.... works via USB. Great for controlling my HTPC from the sofa.

Bluetooth dongle and a sony ericsson phone!
Both my k800i and c902 have had a "presentation" mode, which lets them do basic PC functions like move the mouse, left and right click, play, pause, skip and volume up or down via bluetooth.

How would the PC receive the signal thou, I would need some type of USB infrared dongle like the xbox 360 PC pad for windows device

look for program called 'sailing clicker'

can control media player/itunes directly and even beams playlists and album art etc to your phone. used to use it on my k800i and now use it on windows mobile. very good

I use one of those on my media pc in my lounge

Not looking to buy a hole new setup. I have a remote that cost me a fortune so it makes sense to use it, I just need to find a USB IR receiver, that will read the remote

gyromouse, problem solved :P

I have a Logitech MX Air which is a fantastic bit of kit for what it does. It allows me to use a mouse in the air or on the floor by my bed while I'm lying in it.

The advantage of this is that I can do so much more than a remote control will allow, the disadvantage is the cost. I still don't feel the sixty pounds or so I spent on it is really worth it.
