possible to install SQL 2005 on windows 2008 64x?

Im trying to install SLQ 2005 on windows 2008 64x, but im getting error messages.

Does anyone know the correct method to install it?

According to MS it should be fine

What's the error you're getting? It may mention being incompatible but i think you can ignore that, you will just need to install SP2 before it will work

When i try to install SP2 im getting the following errors:

You haven't locked down any services have you? We had problems installing SQL on W2k8 when we disabled some of the services for security. It's trial and error unfortauntely, turning each one on in turn.

Nope i didnt lock down any files - the list was empty.
Did you follow any guides, as im completely stuck on this issue!
