The left button on my DeathAdder has starting being a bit flakey. Sometimes when I click I get a double-click and sometimes when I click and hold the click stops registering mid drag. It would seem that I am not getting a good clean contact when I click.

The mouse is a year old but as I don't have a receipt I cannot warranty it.

Is there a way to open up the shell so I can try giving it a clean?

Yep, a screw behind the sticker and two behind the front pads.

Unscrewed these, disconnected top circuit from bottom circuit and then unscrewed the top circuit. All the buttons are tiny micro switches. Popped the left one open and bits flew everywhere. Gave the contacts a clean and reassembled the switch (very fiddly).

It does seem to have done the trick, but will need more time to be sure.

Did this fix it as I am having the same problem?
