With mobos that have onboard gfx, is it possible to use the onboard gfx aswell as a card thats in the PCI-E slot? Im after a 3 display setup

I think some boards allow it, others will just disable the onboard no matter what. Best to search for your board online / check the manual.

Thanks for the reply, I haven't actually purchase said mobo yet, I just want 1 that allows both onboard and pci-e card to work at the same time. I was looking at an i3 system, maybe 1 of the gigabyte mobos, do they have online maunals on there webpage?

Like said above and in most decent mobo BIOS should have an option for [INT display "PCI/PCI-Ex/onboard"] (initial display)

Cool, yeah the mobo im after supports onbaord aswell as pci-e
