PX 80 for you of course. 37 or 42 is for you to deicde, but I would say 37 should be the best fit, but hell just go for the 42, you are a man after all 
I would say that watching in pitch black isn't the best, and even with a good plasma like this the blacks might look greyer than expected. The best way to watch tv is to stick a beside lamp behind the set and angle the light upwards. That ambient light will reduce the strain on your eyes and will give the illusion of darker blacks.

I'm probably going to get a PX80 as well, 42''. But I'm moving house this week-end, that means plenty of expenses so I'll have to save some before that 
Also this TV is really more expensive in Switzerland compared to the UK.

I arrived, and i set it up straight away using the recommended settings on AV forums.
Its brilliant.
Never had a flat panel TV before, so the over-sharpening will take some getting used to (esp on things like the sky menu) but apart from that I cant fault it.
