Possible Upgrade, How does it look?

He's obsessed with the H100 lol, from what i've read its really tight (Corsair 300R) So i'd be happy with the H80i or a good air cooler (K2 Mount Doom, Megahalems etc) - which ever will end up being better.

Well the UD3H is out of stock here, and will be for a good few weeks as they have to get more from the US. At least that is what i was told this afternoon over the phone, and I'd rather get it all from here. :)

I was amusing the 4 and 5 are the next step up from that? The same but better basically?

Was going by this - http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/comparison/list.aspx?ck=2&pids=4488,4481,4483

I guess a bit of brand loyalty too going by the board i have at the mo, its been rock solid at 4Ghz for 4+ years. (Was an overclocked bundle from here in 09)

If not what would you suggest? :)

Yes the 4 and then 5 are technically better than one another.

Its just that the actual "extras" you see listed such as extra USB/SATA ports etc are sparse, it's the power circuitry around the CPU that differs more.

The UD3H has 8 power phases the UD4H+UD5H both have 16.

Ok, so after watching Tom Logans review and reading a few more, I think i'm set on the UD4H. :)

This is what I've got in my basket at the moment...

The i7 + gigabyte oc + teamgroup orange is the combo I have, it's really good. You could always pay a little extra and have ocuk build and clock it for you instead

Thats exactly what that is a pre overclocked bundle. :)

I dont think i have the time or the patience to do it myself. :o

Very nice bundle choice, the good thing with the bundles is that the oc is tried and tested from the shop. Also, it gives you a known good base to work from should you wish to clock higher. Save the oc profile to a flash drive and youll always have a backup should something go wrong.

Good choice, although I would swap the H80i for the K2.
