Possible Upgrade Options?

So I spent £300 on a rig a few months back and bought an a10 5800k, Asus motherboard, 8GB RAM, Corsair 430W PSU and an Arc Mini. Back then I didn't think I would be able to upgrade so quickly otherwise I would have gone with intel. What upgrade options do I have other than sell my current 'rig'? Thanks
*Have £300 to upgrade with, plus whatever the rig sells for*

Currently used for light gaming and college work and general use, finish college in a few weeks so would like to get into more games. I understand that haswell is just around the corner as well?

sell the board, processor and whatever graphics card from that rig, (say you get £130 for that) and get yourself a 2500k/3570k (around £170) a decent z77 motherboard (around £70-80) a decent GPU (7850 or something, around £150) and an SSD drive, 60gb boot drive (around 60 quid)
Best option IMO.

As above. The APU while great for a budget just doesn't match the good old CPU + GPU combo currently, I highly doubt the next generation of APU will match it either. So sell the Motherboard + CPU + GPU in the system.

You can get a FX-6300 for £96 and a motherboard for £60 + a 7850 for £150 so that's £306 well within your budget when you sell your old APU + Motherboard + GPU.

Let's say hypothetically I can get £150 for the board, cpu and ram. What could I do with £450? Would the PSU have to be upgraded in order for me to be safe with a 660/7850?

£450 could be enough for a decent build. I actually picked up a Sabertooth Z77 new for £70 on eBay so you can find some decent stuff there.
Say you get a 2500K = £165
Gigabyte UD3H = £130
8GB Vengeance RAM = £55
7850 = £130

Total is £480. If you pick up some used parts, you can drastically drop the price down.

Not sure if the PSU will be enough, check your specs up and see how much watts your system will use by using a PSU calculator (google)

go used for a cpu and board mate. ive seen 2600k i7s go with boards for 230, the cpu's are about that new. get a new psu though. warranty on the cpu tends to be 3 years anyway, or 1 year if its oem, but the cpu is less likely to fail than the psu unless its been thrashed at 5ghz all its life.
