Possible upgrade soon

I will have a measure up tomorrow. the ram I got has a tall heatspreader so am unsure if it will fit.the cooler master has lowered the temps to about 40 in the BIOS so I don't need to rush into getting one yet
Just had a quick measure and with my ram it looks a bit too tight to fit that cooler (ram is 2.25" off the mobo to the top of the heatspreader

Decided to install this kit today in readiness for the ssd, which should be here tomorrow
popped the crucial ssd from my old system and after a bit of faffing about it is all working :)
Ran prime for a while temps only got as far as 68oC which I thought is pretty good considering I upped the multi to 40 giving me a 4G CPU
So will be holding off on a new/secondhand cooler for now

Makes sense, if the old cooler is still up to the task, no need to replace it just yet. Wait for a bargain to come along in the MM.:D

Yeah I am surprised on how`cool` it keeps it.Mind you 4Gig is not a lot over stock but that is on stock volts atm
the IG on the chip is quite good as well gets a 6.7 WEI,which I think is surpriseing

Been having a play ;)
o/c to 4.4 not 100% stable...yet
Got temps up to 89oC mmmmm bit toasty that but i was using IBT
Maybe add a second fan to the coolermaster?

Stripped apart my old mobo to get at the ASUS h/s.:( Won`t fit the new socket unfortunately
Gonna have to go through my spares cupboard and have a sale I think :)
Still undecided on that silver arrow, not sure if it will clear my ram sticks :(

Ask the guy if he can measure the clearance between the ram slot and the bottom of the fan.
The Xtreem are about 41.4mm

Or you could post a wanted thread. I know Doomedspeed is looking to sell his Noctua D14 and I`m sure that will clear the ram. I`ve measured the distance from the top of my XMS3 to the bottom of the fan and there is about 14mm gap.
