Possible Upgrade

I was planning to buy one of the new 5870 cards coming soon and it got me thinking about my whole system (in sig).
I've been pondering over upgrading to an i7 system with the following components:

Now I know this is better then what I currently have, but my PC is used solely for gaming. I'm sort of stuck deciding if its actually worth spending £520 on this setup and if the increase from what i currently have is big enough to justify the outlay. Has anyone with any experience in upgrading from similar spec to mine up to what i've mentioned above got any input on the type of gaming increase they got.
Also with the i7 920 what's the chips OC sweet spot on air?

No its not, for gaming stick with what you have, spend £300 on one of the new ATI cards when theyre out, much bigger difference

have a read of this if you want, it clearly shows 1366 socket to be the WORST performer as far as games are concerned

Thanks. Interesting read that. I'll see if overclocking my cpu a bit more is viable for now.
