Hi guys.
I've done a couple of lottery threads, but this one is a little different. The winner will receive a large bag of:
But the winner will also, more importantly, choose the charity my business donates to this year.
The challenge: Post a picture of the funniest meme you have found to date, and if I agree, you win! You also need to state the charity you would choose, and why. See choices below.
Now for the charity part. I try and do my bit, and being a new business frankly haven't had the cashflow to do so.
I now find my profit projections would allow for a donation from time to time, and feel it my duty to support charities in the important work they do.
The donation amount and terms have yet to be decided, but the charity the winner chooses will be one I sponsor this year.
Choices are from the following 4 charities:
Cancer Research UK. Cancer is a terrible disease, and I've already lost several of my family members to it.
Shelter. Having had several friends nearly homeless but helped by Shelter, the work they do means a lot to me.
Macmillan Cancer Support. They've again helped my family in their time of need.
Queenscourt Hospice. They're a small local hospice, helping people with terminal illness in my area. They do some amazing work, and again have helped people close to myself. http://www.queenscourt.org.uk/index.php
I will pick the winning meme at midnight on the 23rd February.
For those interested, my main business area involves stripping laptop computers and other end of life IT equipment for spare parts. Parts with a resale value are sold via eBay, and waste metals and plastics are recycled. We are fully WEEE compliant.
Go!
