Depends. Pulling can also mean kissed. I have a whole different colourful vernacular for describing taking her home.

That bird must have been gagging for it to snog a white shrek with a top button done up! For what it's worth, 'pulled' for me stopped meaning kissed and started meaning shagged around the time I went to uni.

Are all people named Steve weird?! Two years ago I had a guy named Steve in my uni house that was 32, he was bat crazy, watched pokemon and kids tv and would stair at people for ages!
This year there's yet another guy called Steve in the house that's also creepy and weird..

As for the 'pulling' thing, its not a generation gap imo.. Its an age thing in the sense that as you get older, 'pulling' migrates to meaning more. Certainly has for me and my mates anyway.
