Yep (well sorta, I've only done the summer one, and still got mild hypothermia the last time I did it...:o ):D

Thought I'd post them because I was a bit horrible about your race! :p

I presume you found the link but like most of the Toughguy ethos it's totally confusing, I did it about 4 years running but still got confused by signing up... It's just outside Wolverhampton which is a little annoying to get to when you're from down south.

Haven't done it in about 4 years now though, really need to do some training and have another go at it... But yep, great fun, after the event... :D

EDIT: Oh and yeah, the wiki article isn't lying when it says electric shocks... ;)

What's the 'differences' between them, I assume tough guy is longer? I really couldn't find any info on your one at all, useless website!

That's the exact location, with the small lines between the trees the hill ascent/descent at one end and the water/obstacles are along the bottom hedge.

I don't really know what the difference is but looking at the Oblivion does it have any big obstacles?

So I take it you're going to do it next year then? ;)

Gotta say I don't think I'll ever do the winter one, I get massive cramps due to the cold water in the summer one but it is great fun (try climbing things without bending your legs (any slight bending means the cramp won't allow you to straighten it again), painful...:D). If you do do it buy a pair of rugby gloves, means you can slide down everything without worry of burns and blisters. :D

One of my overriding memories of doing them was after I finished actually, I'd had a shower and was walking round the course watching the stragglers come in. There is a big bit of really sticky mud that usually goes up to your mid calf height and in the middle of it this slightly "chubby" woman slowly dragging herself through it on her hands and knees... I hope she managed to finish it in the end, looked like she had the determination but I think her body just gave up!
