Threads was more like a horror film if you were around when the russians could have actually nuked us. I remeber being sat in class in 1981 when all the sirens went off in town and we thought we were being nuked.

I remember watching a film years ago, set in a sleepy town in the US. Basically they were outside of the blast radias and it followed a family trying to survive. It ended with the said family realising they were going to die a horrible death from the radiation. So they sat in the car sucking on exhast fumes.
