Other than Mad Max, Book Of Eli, what other movies can you recommend? I feel like watching one at the moment.

Is it better than the book?

Planet Of The Apes perhaps doesn't fit precisely with the criteria yet I think it is close enough to pass muster. Soylent Green is also worth a watch, even if for no other reason than to hear Charlton Heston shouting that famous line.

Oldschool, the omega man.... and everybody's favourite... Waterworld!!

Or the Postman, just as bad, but loveable all the same.

*edit.. Hardware is a decent watch, id recommend that.. a film not everybody will know about

To be fair I'm not that worried about it being exactly a doomsday type of look.

Just something roughly following that type of plotlines fine and dandy for me!

Welcome to the forums. That's a film that's in the so bad it's good camp I think, I quite enjoyed it but I think that may have a little something to do with the lovely Rhona Mitra.
