Post in here if you're a Red Dwarf fan

gonna watch this over the weekend. glad i'm hearing positive things.

a friend on fb has commented that they look at the camera when something odd/funny happens though?

It's not the camera, it's the audience - I attended the filming of episode 2.

I think that's why it's better than people expected (with admittedly fairly low expectations after Back to Earth) - having the live audience was clearly enjoyable for the cast as well. That and the fact the boys are again in close quarters on the ship and the classic attrition between them is back.

Amazes me how many people think they use canned laughter. It's not - it is entirely filmed in front of a studio audience, and I should know ;)

It was good. I've seen the majority of it beforehand (see above) but cut together it still made me laugh again and very much enjoyed it. It's a definite hark back to the style of series 3/4.

Shame they had to top the simulant though, that was a decent amount of female to PVC clothing ratio ;)

I completely forgot about this, so although this sort of thing is meant to be in the TV section I'm glad it was posted here or otherwise it could have been a long time before I found out that it had started again.

~Thanks, just set it to remote record the series link via the sky website :)

Anything with laughter and people assume it's just a laugh track these days, same with the big bang theory, it's filmed in front of a live audience but everybody thinks its a laugh track

The live audience is what everyone was wanting when they asked at the last Dimension Jump and i'm glad they took on board what their fans wanted :)
