I've watched it once, my dvd is signed by the cast so it's stuck in the packaging.

Being not based in Blighty any more, I was just trawling the 'downloadey' type websites to see what was going on in the world and suddenly RED DWARF S10E01 jumps off the page at me.

WHAT THE HELL !!!

Like many people here, I expected nothing after the last seasons and BtE, but by golly if I didn't actually LOL a couple of times
Felt good to have the gang back !!

Lovett burnt his bridges. Don't know if they explored the option of bringing Hattie Hayridge back or if they just chose to leave Holly out altogether after Lovett's departure. Shame either way but meh, s10e01 was brilliant even without Holly

Not best Dwarf but solid with some real laugh at loud moments.

I'd consider myself a huge Red Dwarf fan having followed it religiously throughout the 90's. However, I've deliberately never watched BTE as friends have told me the whole Coronation Street thing was utterly cringe-worthy and I didn't want to spoil my memories of such a fantastic show.

I watched S10E01 earlier today though - my first thought was they've hit the nail right on the head if the whole season is going to rate the same as the first episode. All the characters were as brilliant as I remembered them with special mention to "The Cat"

The moose scene just had me in stitches of laughter

Couldn't disagree more.

It felt old school yes but with some the absolute bile that's passing as comedy these days it was also a breath of fresh air and if it continue's in the same vein I'll be a happy 'dwarfer'.

I seem to be the only one who didn't like it that much.

It was ok, but just not as sharp and funny as I-VI. I also really miss those philosophical storylines of the earlier episodes. It just wasn't that clever. Not really a return to form... I struggled to make it to the end.
