I find I'm listening to a lot of this type of musically lately, It's calming :)

I've got quite a few albums from Explosions in the Sky, Caspian, Mogwai..

Any others people can reccomend?

Thanks :)

Godspeed You! Black Emperor

These are the ultimate post-rock band, once you've fully got into GYBE! no other band hits the same kinda highs, as a newbie I'd recomend you listen to the song "mono" or perhaps "Providence" as good introductions.

For Sigur Ros, a totally different kind of band you could have a listen to the more commercial Takk with the famous Hoppipolla or as I prefer Ágætis byrjun!

If you want to be really adventurous you should try ISIS's new album Wavering Deviant - it is utterly fantastic.

God Is An Astronaut
65daysofstatic
Maybeshewill
This Will Destroy You (Young Mountain EP especially)
Grails
Mono
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Sigur Ros' old stuff
And So I Watch You From Afar
Yndi Halda
Joy Wants Eternity
Gifts From Enola

Throwing sludgeyness into the mix (Post-Metal apparently):
Cult Of Luna
Isis
Jesu
Pelican
Red Sparowes

Throwing other bits in:
Agalloch (Black metal)
Oceansize (Progressive rock)
Don Caballero (Math rock)
Holy **** (Electronic)
Youthmovies (Math rock)
Errors (Indie/Electronic)

Haha could be! I'm already quite fond of Porcupine tree :)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, especially Liefrich and noodle, quite a list here now! :D

If you like Godspeed, you may also want to try:

Silver Mt. Zion
Do Make Say Think
Exhaust
Fly Pan Am

Most of these contain members of the godspeed group.

My top 3 would be:

1) A Silver Mt. Zion (better than Godspeed, IMO)
2) 65daysofstatic
3) M83 (Saturdays = Youth is amazing)
