Just got 2gb DDR2 and put my 7800GT in my 805 system, 92,328 in Aquamark 3 with a mild OC on the graphics. Havent run any others yet.

25,537 in 01

805 @ 3.8ghz
2x1gb DDR2 667mhz
7800GT @ 450/1120

Graphics card makes little diference, it is all CPU for 01. I got about 2000 points less with an x800gto 128mb (slow memory and core) compared to my 7800GT on the same system with more, faster RAM.

we both have 2.6 ish dothans tho so the gpu speed should show but it doesnt

Yes, that does seem a bit strange.
Maybe with newer drivers the X800 cards are quicker than the X1800 cards at running DirectX 7 & 8 stuff, who knows. The scores for 2003 & 2005 seem to make more sense.

Ok then, I did post at 3AM...

You have an older card which is better suited to an older benchmark and you may be using faster memory on a cleaner install

You have an older card - check

He may have a worse installation of windows - check (just 'cos yours is bad does not mean his is better)

Neither of you mentioned what speed/timings your memory is at so again yours MAY be faster - check

Where is the problem?
